The harmony score based on facial ratios does not equal true facial attractiveness. Your personal ratios play a role, but even the whole set of ratios is only one of many variables in an objective rating.
Ratios that actually matter a lot
Only a few specific ratios significantly determine male facial attractiveness. These are exceptions, not the rule.
- Facial width related ratios (FWHR and jaw width)
- Nose width and mouth related ratios
- Middle to lower facial height ratio
The pareto pattern
Most other facial ratios are remarkably irrelevant. This follows a Pareto law style distribution where a small set of ratios carries most of the weight.
Better analysis framework
A more accurate system isolates the mentioned key ratios and places them inside a framework with other more important variables. This avoids overvaluing the harmony score.
Limits of ratio based scoring
A ratios only score is far from objective. It can place you significantly above or below your true facial rating.
- Fixing ratios does not improve attractiveness to the extent the harmony score predicts
- Most ratios are less valuable than the harmony score implies
Key points
- Harmony score is not a final attractiveness rating
- Only a few male ratios are fundamentally important
- Other ratios are largely irrelevant
- Use ratios as part of a broader framework
